User administration (transaction SU01)
SAP Note 1854561 provides a new possible value for the auth/authorisation_trace parameter: F (Trace enabled with filter). Allows you to limit the permission trace to values that can be set by the filter. The filters are defined in the STUSOBTRACE transaction (see SAP Note 1847663).
You can also remove customer-specific organisational levels and convert them to a simple permission field. The report PFCG_ORGFIELD_DELETE serves for this purpose. It removes the permission field from the USORG table and changes the permission proposal values to that field. Finally, it goes through all the rolls that contain a shape to the field. However, it does not restore the old location of the field, because summarised values will no longer be separated when the field is elevated to the organisational level. Instead, the aggregated values are entered separately in each field. The PFCG_ORGFIELD_DELETE report also provides a value aid that shows only the customer's organisational levels. You can also use this value aid to determine all customer-specific organisational levels.
Features of the SAP authorization concept
Do the permissions for a self-developed UI component for the SAP CRM Web Client always have to be maintained manually? Not necessarily - if you define them as suggested values for external services. If you have developed your own UI components in the Customer Name Room in SAP CRM and you want to authorise them via the default process, i.e. create a role menu for a PFCG role using the CRMD_UI_ROLE_PREPARE report, you must do some preliminary work. When you run the report, you will notice that the external services for your own developments are not present and therefore do not appear in the role menu. The only way to qualify your UI components is to manually maintain the UIU_COMP authorization object. However, you can maintain your own UI components as external services with suggestion values in the SU24 transaction and take advantage of this information in PFCG role maintenance.
Authorization objects are defined with the help of transaction SU21. Each SAP transaction is equipped with the required authorization objects in SU24, which control access to specific functions within the respective program. Standard programs / transactions of an ERP system are already equipped with these objects during the initial installation. The same applies to other platforms such as CRM or Solution Manager.
For the assignment of existing roles, regular authorization workflows require a certain minimum of turnaround time, and not every approver is available at every go-live. With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you have options to assign urgently needed authorizations anyway and to additionally secure your go-live.
The freeware Scribble Papers is a "note box" in which all kinds of data can be stored. It takes in typed texts as well as graphics and entire documents. The data is then organised in folders and pages.
This is required if you want to call the BAPI BAPI_USER_CHANGE from a central system (e.g. from the ZBV) and send the relevant e-mail from that system.
Source Privileges: Source Privileges are SQL object permissions that control access to data provided remotely through SAP HANA Smart Data Access.
