Transports

You should not grant large permissions for the SCC4 and SE06 transactions to internal and external auditors, just so that they can see the system modifiability. We present the report, which only requires the permissions a auditor usually has to view the system modifiability. There are several people who want to view the system modifiability settings in your system for specific reasons. These can be internal auditors, auditors or developers. The display of these settings, e.g. via the SCC4 or SE06 transactions, is not in itself critical; However, this has previously required permissions that are not usually assigned to the group of people just described. Since SAP NetWeaver 7.0, there is also a report that shows the system modifiability settings. This report requires only viewing permissions that can be assigned to the above-described group without any concerns. We present the application of this report and the required permissions here.
The concept for in-house developments is obligatory for every company that writes its own software. It specifies requirements, for example, for the structure, naming and documentation of program components, and in particular for dealing with safety-critical aspects. The wording should not be too general, but should explicitly address the special features of programming in SAP.
Authorizations in SAP systems: what admins should look out for
If the changes to your SU24 data have not been detected with step 2a, or if you have imported transports from other system landscapes into your system, you have the option to reset the timestamp tables and start again. To do this, run the SU24_AUTO_REPAIR report in a system that is still at the state of the legacy release so that the modification flag is set correctly (see tip 38, "Use the SU22 and SU24 transactions correctly"). Subsequently, you create a transport and transport your SU24 data to the system, which is at the state of the new release. Now delete your timestamp tables. You can use the report SU25_INITIALIZE_TSTMP. Starting with SAP NetWeaver 7.31, you have the choice to set the reference time stamp from the SU22 data or delete the contents of the time stamp tables. You can then run Step 2a again.
In addition, authorization concepts ensure that employees do not create beautiful balances and thus cause damage to stakeholders and tax authorities. Misuse of SAP authorizations becomes more difficult and the company is thus protected from significant financial damage as well as reputational damage.
However, if your Identity Management system is currently not available or the approval path is interrupted, you can still assign urgently needed authorizations with "Shortcut for SAP systems".
So much information... how can you keep it so that you can find it again when you need it? That's what Scribble Papers is great for.
Very often the question then arises, does anything have to be prepared for the audit? As a rule, all of the company's own notes from previous years should be retrieved and combed through for information that was noted at the time during the discussions with the IT auditor.
The selection is made in the start image of the report, e.g. via the table name or the selection of options for logging.
